제자의 자세

• 1예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 실족하게 하는 것이 없을 수는 없으나 그렇게 하게 하는 자에게는 화로다
• 2그가 이 작은 자 중의 하나를 실족하게 할진대 차라리 연자맷돌이 그 목에 매여 바다에 던져지는 것이 나으리라
• 3너희는 스스로 조심하라 만일 네 형제가 죄를 범하거든 경고하고 회개하거든 용서하라
• 4만일 하루에 일곱 번이라도 네게 죄를 짓고 일곱 번 네게 돌아와 내가 회개하노라 하거든 너는 용서하라 하시더라
• 5사도들이 주께 여짜오되 우리에게 믿음을 더하소서 하니
• 6주께서 이르시되 너희에게 겨자씨 한 알만한 믿음이 있었더라면 이 뽕나무더러 뿌리가 뽑혀 바다에 심기어라 하였을 것이요 그것이 너희에게 순종하였으리라
• 7너희 중 누구에게 밭을 갈거나 양을 치거나 하는 종이 있어 밭에서 돌아오면 그더러 곧 와 앉아서 먹으라 말할 자가 있느냐
• 8도리어 그더러 내 먹을 것을 준비하고 띠를 띠고 내가 먹고 마시는 동안에 수종들고 너는 그 후에 먹고 마시라 하지 않겠느냐
• 9명한 대로 하였다고 종에게 감사하겠느냐
• 10이와 같이 너희도 명령 받은 것을 다 행한 후에 이르기를 우리는 무익한 종이라 우리가 하여야 할 일을 한 것뿐이라 할지니라

• 1Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
• 2It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
• 3So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.
• 4Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
• 5The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
• 6He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
• 7“Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
• 8Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’?
• 9Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
• 10So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’ ”
