솔로몬의 영화

• 20유다와 이스라엘의 인구가 바닷가의 모래 같이 많게 되매 먹고 마시며 즐거워하였으며
• 21솔로몬이 그 강에서부터 블레셋 사람의 땅에 이르기까지와 애굽 지경에 미치기까지의 모든 나라를 다스리므로 솔로몬이 사는 동안에 그 나라들이 조공을 바쳐 섬겼더라
• 22솔로몬의 하루의 음식물은 가는 밀가루가 삼십 고르요 굵은 밀가루가 육십 고르요
• 23살진 소가 열 마리요 초장의 소가 스무 마리요 양이 백 마리이며 그 외에 수사슴과 노루와 암사슴과 살진 새들이었더라
• 24솔로몬이 그 강 건너편을 딥사에서부터 가사까지 모두, 그 강 건너편의 왕을 모두 다스리므로 그가 사방에 둘린 민족과 평화를 누렸으니
• 25솔로몬이 사는 동안에 유다와 이스라엘이 단에서부터 브엘세바에 이르기까지 각기 포도나무 아래와 무화과나무 아래에서 평안히 살았더라
• 26솔로몬의 병거의 말 외양간이 사만이요 마병이 만 이천 명이며
• 27그 지방 관장들은 각각 자기가 맡은 달에 솔로몬 왕과 왕의 상에 참여하는 모든 자를 위하여 먹을 것을 공급하여 부족함이 없게 하였으며
• 28또 그들이 각기 직무를 따라 말과 준마에게 먹일 보리와 꼴을 그 말들이 있는 곳으로 가져왔더라
• 29하나님이 솔로몬에게 지혜와 총명을 심히 많이 주시고 또 넓은 마음을 주시되 바닷가의 모래 같이 하시니
• 30솔로몬의 지혜가 동쪽 모든 사람의 지혜와 애굽의 모든 지혜보다 뛰어난지라
• 31그는 모든 사람보다 지혜로워서 예스라 사람 에단과 마홀의 아들 헤만과 갈골과 다르다보다 나으므로 그의 이름이 사방 모든 나라에 들렸더라
• 32그가 잠언 삼천 가지를 말하였고 그의 노래는 천다섯 편이며
• 33그가 또 초목에 대하여 말하되 레바논의 백향목으로부터 담에 나는 우슬초까지 하고 그가 또 짐승과 새와 기어다니는 것과 물고기에 대하여 말한지라
• 34사람들이 솔로몬의 지혜를 들으러 왔으니 이는 그의 지혜의 소문을 들은 천하 모든 왕들이 보낸 자들이더라

• 20The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore; they ate, they drank and they were happy.
• 21And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These countries brought tribute and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.
• 22Solomon’s daily provisions were thirty cors of the finest flour and sixty cors of meal,
• 23ten head of stall-fed cattle, twenty of pasture-fed cattle and a hundred sheep and goats, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks and choice fowl.
• 24For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.
• 25During Solomon’s lifetime Judah and Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, lived in safety, everyone under their own vine and under their own fig tree.
• 26Solomon had four thousand stalls for chariot horses, and twelve thousand horses.
• 27The district governors, each in his month, supplied provisions for King Solomon and all who came to the king’s table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.
• 28They also brought to the proper place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and the other horses.
• 29God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.
• 30Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
• 31He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations.
• 32He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five.
• 33He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.
• 34From all nations people came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.
